A home invasion occurred early Sunday morning at 12:15 a.m. off the University of Michigan campus. According to a crime alert released by the Division of Public Safety and Security on Sunday evening, the incident took place south of Hill Street at the 900 block of South Forest Avenue.

As reported to the Ann Arbor Police Department, an unknown man repeatedly banged on an apartment door and then proceeded to kick it down. Police are not aware if the man ever gained access to the apartment, but no property was found to be missing.

Witnesses described the suspect to be a Black man with a short beard in his late twenties or early thirties. He is said to be heavy set with a medium complexion and was wearing a tan jacket and red baseball cap.
