If you are looking for the newest foodie adventure in Ann Arbor, head over to Maynard and discover all that HopCat has to offer. It may look like a hole in the wall from the outside, but the spacious and funky interior is an experience all of its own. The restaurant sports a variety of music, ranging from today's hits to classic rock and everything in between. Pop culture and music memorabilia will keep you entertained if you happen to be on the wait list during one of the busier nights, and the comfy seating and friendly staff will welcome a variety of customers time and time again. But the food is what makes HopCat this year’s best new restaurant.

Two words: crack fries. This side is a must try as one of HopCat’s signature food items and among the best of its kind, according to the Food Network. Try one of the 80+ beers tapped weekly or a bottle of your own favorite to wash them down. Some of the top menu items include the fresh and flaky fish and chips, a decadent grilled cheese with honey aioli and apple slices, various classic and creative burgers and the “Killer Mac and Cheese”. Stop by for Happy Hour Monday through Thursday from 2-6 p.m. or Sunday through Wednesday from 10 p.m. to close for some great deals. If you’re more of a morning person, join HopCat for a made-to-order brunch and make your own Bloody Mary bar Sunday.
