LSA senior Vincent Pinti won the 2021 Neubacher award recognizing his work through CSG to improve access for students with disabilities on campus. Pinti was primarily recognized for creating a scholarship providing education funding for students studying to be Personal Assistants/Personal Care Assistants, an occupation in high-demand, helping people with disabilities fulfill their daily needs. Pinti is the first undergraduate to win the award in recent years.
After the 2016 presidential election, Danielle Milner and Jon Eslinger founded the brand design agency DO:BETTER. The Ann Arbor company, which was recently named to the 2021 Forbes Next 1000 list, helps organizations communicate and create purpose through branding and improving internal and external culture.
The Wolverines continued their undefeated season on Saturday, beating the Northwestern Wildcats 33-7 despite a slow start. Offensive momentum came easy after the first touchdown, as the Wolverines finished with 457 total yards. This was the first game played for the George Jewitt Trophy, the first FBS rivalry trophy named for a Black athlete. Jewitt was the first Black football player for the Wolverines and the Wildcats. Next week, Michigan travels to East Lansing to try and reclaim the Paul Bunyan trophy in their biggest contest of the season yet.
With the Michigan men’s basketball season just around the corner, The Daily predicted and analyzed potential lineups. The starting lineup has seen a lot of turnover from last season, with three of the five players no longer playing for the Wolverines.
