Fleming Administration Building to be demolished in 2022, administration to be moved to Ruthven Museums Building

Due to deteriorating conditions and “numerous structural and infrastructure problems,” the Fleming Administration Building on Thompson Street will be demolished during the Winter 2022 semester and is expected to be converted into a green space by the time students move back to campus after the summer. The Administrative offices will be relocated to the Alexander G. Ruthven Museums Building on Geddes Avenue. Find out more about how this move could make administrative protests more visible on campus.

With global rise in omicron cases, Winter study abroad students register for U-M classes as backup

With the recent rise in global COVID-19 cases due to the omicron variant, some U-M students planning to study abroad next semester have registered for Winter 2022 courses in Ann Arbor in case travel restrictions are put into place again. But with ambiguity around the severity of the variant, a lack of communication abroad and concerns over housing should study abroad programs be canceled, many study abroad students are left waiting for the other shoe to drop.
