With residence hall move-in kicking off Friday, traffic flow will be altered on several city streets near University residence halls. Move-in will take place through Saturday.

During this period, several University parking lots will be reserved for those with move-in permits for a designated time slot. The University is advising transit riders to check for route changes online with Ann Arbor Area Transit Authority and the University Parking and Transportation Services.

South State Street will also close Friday from 5 p.m. to midnight between South University Avenue and East William Street. The street closure will facilitate events at the Michigan Union, the Angell Hall lawn, the Museum of Art, and the Diag following New Student Convocation, which begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Crisler Center. Pedestrian traffic and emergency access on State Street will remain unaffected.

The following traffic and parking information was distributed to University facilities staff by University Planner Susan Gott.
