UPDATE: This article has been updated to include more information about the suspects and victim.
The Ann Arbor Police Department is searching for a suspect who remains at large after a stabbing at the Library Lot underground parking structure on Fifth Avenue on Monday afternoon.
According to Lt. Earle Fox of AAPD in an interview with MLive, the 15-year-old male victim was stabbed multiple times. The victim was then transported to the University of Michigan Hospital Emergency Room in critical condition, Huron Valley Ambulance spokesman Matt Rose told MLive.
Police are currently looking for two male suspects.
The Library Lot was originally sold to Chicago-based developer Core Spaces in 2017 to be developed into a 17-story high-rise that would have hosted housing units, office space and a hotel. Residents passed Proposal A in November, which requires the Library Lot to remain publicly owned and be developed as an urban park and civic commons. The city abandoned the deal with Core Spaces in December.
