A University of Michigan student woke up to an intruder in his room early Friday morning, according to a crime alert sent out by the Division of Public Safety and Security. The invasion took place around 3:30 a.m. south of central campus, on South Forest Avenue near Cambridge Street.

The victim was asleep and woke up to find the unknown male going through his pants pockets. According to a statement from Ann Arbor Police Department Lieutenant Matthew Lige, the victim was not wearing the pants while this happened. The suspect fled the scene after he was observed.
