bulletin sent out by the University of Michigan Division of Public Safety and Security announced the investigation of an unknown man trying to lure a 10-year-old girl into his vehicle in the Northwood 46 parking lot at 1400 McIntyre Dr. at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday.

According to the bulletin, the man was driving a four-door black car and motioned for the child to enter his vehicle before she immediately ran away.

The report detailed the suspect as a white male between 50 and 60 years old, gray hair styled “like Albert Einstein” and wearing a black leather jacket and sunglasses.

DPSS recommends parents encourage children to remain especially vigilant when outside and asks anyone with additional information on the incident to report it to DPSS.
