A vehicle crashed into the Alumni Center on the University of Michigan’s Central Campus near the intersection of Fletcher and Washington streets Tuesday evening around 5:10 p.m.

Melissa Overton, deputy chief of police and public information officer for the Division of Public Safety and Security, told The Daily there is no damage to the building and it is believed the female driver had a medical emergency that led to the crash.

“There is no damage to the building,” Overton said. “She came from the Fletcher carport parking structure (at which point) she suffered a medical emergency.”

DPSS and the Ann Arbor Police Department are continuing to investigate the incident.
