The Division of Public Safety and Security sent out a crime alert at 5:30 a.m. Friday morning detailing an unarmed robbery of a campus visitor in an alley off the 600 block of Church Street earlier in the night.
According to the Ann Arbor Police, six white men approached the campus visitor, a 21-year old Ann Arbor resident, and took his wallet and cellphone after punching him. The robbers then fled the scene. The man has since received medical treatment for facial injuries at a University of Michigan hospital.
The incident was reported to have occurred between 1:30 and 2 a.m.
As of Friday morning, there were no witnesses to the robbery.
