Stevie Wonder took the stage at Joe Louis Arena Saturday as a part of his “Key of Life” tour, just over a year since his last show in Michigan. He played all of the songs on his double album, Songs in the Key of Life, along with a mix of some of his greatest hits for his encore. Lasting nearly four hours, including an intermission, Stevie Wonder’s set was accompanied by forty two other musicians, including a ten-piece string section, six-person horn section, and ten-person choir. Even though he was born in Saginaw, Wonder called Detroit “(his) hometown,” which showed in his performance.
