After just one season at Michigan, Chaundee Brown Jr. is moving on.
The senior guard announced Saturday that he is declaring for the 2021 NBA Draft and hiring an agent in the process, making him ineligible to return to college.
Brown, a former four-star recruit coming out of high school, transferred to Michigan from Wake Forest in the last off-season. During his time with the Wolverines, Brown averaged 8.0 points in 20.6 minutes per game as Michigan’s sixth man. A prolific shooter, Brown shot 41.9% from beyond the arc and 48.8% overall.
He had 10 double-digit outings for the Wolverines including a 21-point performance in the second round of the NCAA Tournament against LSU.
With both Brown and graduate point guard Mike Smith moving on, Michigan coach Juwan Howard will be looking to add depth to his backcourt this offseason.
