“Truth” has its saving graces – an all-star cast of Hollywood pros and an ultimately fascinating story. Unfortunately, it sags under the pressure of its disputed storyline.

Playing into the culinary rock star genre, “Burnt” does little to expand on the masculinization of the kitchen other than add another screaming, heated voice to the chorus. Although the cast and general plot have potential, the film flounders in its moments of self-doubt, overshadowing its most powerful moments with heavy-handed intensity.

Pixar. Need I say more? You know their movies, and you love them. It seems current college students in particular have a deep affinity for these films, being the first generation to have grown up with their now-classics such as “Toy Story,” “Finding Nemo” and “The Incredibles.”

The film consists mostly of footage from inside the protests, putting you right inside the action. The film attests to the courage of the citizens fighting for freedom and, also, to the filmmakers who risked their lives shooting it.

Before the movie begins, an usher dressed like a French maid asks for three virgin volunteers. I heard a rumor that they make you fake an orgasm, so I don’t raise my hand.

All “Ghost Dimension” had to do was simply glide by. It just needed to be okay. It failed at even that.

Director Burnett did not create his characters to entertain, but to inform in a time period where emotional material like this was lacking.

While the plot seems fantastical enough to produce an engrossing film, its quick shuffle through thin characters leaves the audience unsure and unattached by the end.
