Ann Arbor Police Department officers located a vehicle Tuesday night off of Ellsworth Road matching the description from a missing person report filed, according to a press release from AAPD.
The officers found a deceased man inside the vehicle, whom they identified as Eric Kammerer. Kammerer, an LSA senior at the University of Michigan, was last seen by his roommates on Jan. 16 and his last known cell phone usage was on Jan. 18. The University Division of Public Safety and Security released a tweet last Friday evening featuring a flier from the AAPD providing information about the student.
The manner and cause of death are still under investigation. The incident is not being treated as a criminal investigation.
