Taylor Rooks accepted a job in finance after her graduation from Michigan.

As a five-star recruit back in high school, Taylor Rooks had many colleges to choose from to continue her basketball career.

She wanted a school where she could excel — both academically and on the court — and narrowed her decision down to three schools: Stanford, Harvard and Michigan. Still, a tough decision loomed.

Little did she know she’d end up attending all three.

The Wolverines called a timeout but never recovered. Iowa (13-4 overall, 4-2 Big Ten) widened the gap, handing Michigan (11-7, 2-4) a 75-61 loss — the team’s fourth loss in its last six games.

“Through our growth process and through our improvement is the decision-making when other teams are going on a run,” said Michigan coach Kim Barnes Arico to WTKA. “… We called a timeout. We tried to regroup, I mean, we had a better fourth quarter but we were down a little bit. And we scored in the fourth quarter; we just couldn’t get the stops that we needed to get.”

Saturday afternoon in College Park, Md., the Michigan women’s basketball team faced its toughest opponent so far this season.

Despite putting up a fight, the Wolverines (11-6 overall, 2-3 Big Ten) ultimately fell, 83-69, to No. 9 Maryland (15-1 overall, 4-1 Big Ten).

Monday afternoon, the Michigan women’s basketball team (10-4 overall, 1-1 Big Ten) looked to get back on track after having lost its conference opener a few days prior.

The Wolverines did just that, defeating Minnesota (12-1 overall, 1-1 Big Ten) at the Crisler Center, 76-60.
