If you’re a maniacal fan of American rapper Chief Keef and actually, literally, legitimately cannot wait for the release of his debut album (there are only 16 days left!), know that the man himself has given everyone a break from the anticipation.
On Dec. 1, Keef released a rando-banger via Twitter, accompanied by a D-Gaines-directed video (the true indicator of a Keef hit).
The song and video are slightly surprising: Faux-Young Chop gun blasts and screams are thrown among spacey keyboard and steel drum beats (what?) as Keef dances around some ambiguous mansion, periodically kissing his adorable baby daughter (what?!). Ironic, yes, but also strangely expected from Keef.
Nonetheless, the song is excellent for breaking your car’s speakers and possibly receiving noise citations. Keef rambles, the beat bangs — it’s all typical Chief fun.
And because Keef is Keef, you can’t download the song through normal channels. But if you search “They Know” on YouTube, you’ll be met with hours of listening pleasure — just make sure you monitor the bass levels.
