From the Arts Editor: A Change to our Rating System

Starting today, all reviews printed in the Arts section will no longer be qualified by a star rating. Instead, we are switching to a letter-based graded system (A+, A, A-, etc.) for reviews.

Submit questions for an election forum co-sponsored by the Daily

The Michigan Daily is co-hosting an election forum on Thursday, Nov. 1 in partnership with the Rackham Student Government, the Students of Color of Rackham and the Ford School of Public Policy's Center for Local, State and Urban Policy. The event, which will be held in Rackham Auditorium at 7 p.m., will focus on the six statewide ballot proposals.

Increasing transparency at the Daily

The Michigan Daily believes in transparency.

As journalists, we demand transparency from the people and organizations we cover. But we also demand transparency from ourselves. As we try to effectively cover the University and Ann Arbor, our readers also deserve to know what we, as a news organization, stand for.

The Daily is done publishing for the semester

With classes ending this week The Michigan Daily finished printing for the semester.

While the Daily won't print on a daily basis again until September, the paper's summer staff has taken over and will still cover the University and Ann Arbor extensively. Starting May 1, when spring term begins, a weekly paper will come out every Monday.

The Daily is on spring break

Today's paper is the last print edition of The Michigan Daily until school resumes after spring break.

While we may not be printing a paper, we will still be covering all of the Michigan sports and campus news that happens over break.

Around Ann Arbor coverage from the Daily

The Michigan Daily launched today a new graphic, designed by Managing Design Editor Zach Bergson, that will be placed with all city of Ann Arbor stories in our print product. The “Around Ann Arbor” brand will highlight news stories about Ann Arbor City Council meetings, events in town, issues between the city and University, local business coverage and more.
