With sentence, former Michigan quarterback Feagin gets a second chance

In Memoriam: Eldersveld, legendary prof. and Ann Arbor mayor, dies at the age of 92

Eldersveld taught at his alma mater for more than five decades and as mayor of Ann Arbor worked to provide equal rights for all the city's citizens. As Political Science Prof. Hanes Walton, Jr. put it, Eldersveld was an “absolute giant in the field (of political science).”

City council seeks to outlaw use of electronic devices while biking, driving

Using electronic devices like cell phones, computers or GPS units while driving may soon be illegal in Ann Arbor.

The Ann Arbor City Council will vote on a resolution on Monday banning the use of handheld electronic devices while operating a car or bicycle on Ann Arbor's streets. City Council voted to consider the ban at their meeting last week.

'U' researchers uncover early detection system for bone marrow transplant complication

University researchers have discovered a method of earlier detection for a disease that affects patients who receive bone marrow transplants that will allow for more specialized treatment and for patients to know they have the disease before it becomes life threatening.
