It’s Friday. You know what that means.

But maybe you don’t.

If you don’t, shame on you.

Every Friday, we recap the week of Michigan sports as told by Twitter. Well, sometimes it’s a recap. Other times it’s just a look at the ridiculous things Shane Morris says.

For the most part, this week in Twitter sucked for out-of-state students who had to sift through all the annoying dreck about the Tigers signing Torii Hunter and Miguel Cabrera being named the American League MVP. Apparently, it’s baseball season even when it isn’t, which sucks for a lot of people. Like Mets fans.

Anyhow, I found the good stuff.

We start with last Saturday, when Michigan squeaked out a miracle victory over Northwestern at the Big House. You may have seen Roy Roundtree’s absurd tip-and-catch with eight seconds left to keep the Wolverines in it. You may have seen Devin Garder roll out and run for the game-winning touchdown in overtime.=”https://twitter.com/teamdgizzle/status/268760389028827137″>

But here’s the real highlight from Saturday:

Yes, Teresa is one of ours. You may have noticed the other cameramen and film guys move out of the way, but Daily photographers stand tall and get their shots. A 210-pound running back bowling toward her, Teresa stared back through the lens, cocked her eyebrow and said, ‘Come at me, bro.’

Brady Hoke was happy with Teresa’s effort as well:

This week was also an exciting one in basketball, as Michigan trounced IUPUI and Cleveland State, both by 30 points, and the signing period began on Wednesday. Three ESPN top-100 recruits — small forward Zak Irvin (24), point guard Derrick Walton (35) and power forward Mark Donnal (99) — signed their National Letters of Intent to become Wolverines this week.

This kid out of Fishers, Ind. is an absolute stud, and he helps continue Michigan’s recent successes on the recruiting trail in the Hoosier state. Irvin does it all, playing above the rim and shooting from outside. The next Tim Hardaway Jr.

Assistant coach Bacari Alexander has been trying to repair the Detroit-to-Ann Arbor basketball pipeline, and he might be on the right track now that this Motown native finally put the pen to paper this week.

Walton will make the post-Trey Burke transition seamless, should Michigan’s current point guard dart for the NBA after this season. Though one can’t simply expect an 18-year-old’s transition to college hoops seem as easy as Burke made it, one look at Walton’s scouting videos tells you he has the tools for success. He may be one of the most unselfish players I’ve ever seen, which means he’s the perfect point guard for John Beilein’s intricate offense.

Beilein loves the big guys who can face up and shoot the ball from 17 feet. This kid can do that. Alexander will have to work with Donnal on scoring from the low block, which he’ll definitely need to get better at if he want’s to survive the Big Ten, but the potential is there.

This is too great:

Dhani Jones is a former Michigan and NFL linebacker who’s spirit forever lives on in Ann Arbor through gameday T-shirts. Jones tweeted at Gordon Gee — Ohio State’s president — to set up some sort of bowtie battle. Both men are known to sport the classic bowtie look, Jones going for a more contemporary look, and Gee the more traditional.

I’m not so certain that Gee will take the time to respond. He’s clearly too busy planning his greatest football program cover-up to date. Mwahahahaha.
