On Saturday night in Denver, Colorado under the bright lights of Dick's Sporting Goods Park, the No. 1 Michigan men's club lacrosse team celebrated after winning the National Championship 12-11 over No. 3 Arizona State.

In the MCLA semifinals in Denver, Colorado on Friday night, the scene was strikingly similar as the Michigan men's lacrosse team ousted Chapman, 12-10, to secure a third-consecutive berth in MCLA National Championship game tonight.

Michigan women's club lacrosse freshman Samantha Zetlin had no intentions of playing high school lacrosse, much less trying it at the collegiate level.
That is, until her high school lacrosse coach paid a visit to her freshman gym class. She persuaded the avid soccer player to get her feet wet in an unfamiliar sport.

It had been two years and 329 days since the Michigan men’s club lacrosse team had lost a game. In the 2007 National Tournament, the Wolverines lost a consolation match on May 16 to Georgia. The next day, the Wolverines defeated Colorado 13-8 and began an MCLA-record 49-game winning streak.

Michigan men’s club lacrosse (2-0 CCLA, 8-0 overall) hadn't played a home game since March 12. In fact, it hadn't played an unranked opponent since March 14. In its first home action in nearly a month Friday, the top-ranked Wolverines appeared very happy to return to Oosterbaan Fieldhouse.

The No. 12 Michigan women’s lacrosse team drubbed Western Michigan, 21-2 on Friday at Oosterbaan Fieldhouse.
The Wolverines were aggressive from the start, attacking the goal early and often, scoring a flurry of five goals within the first 10 minutes. Michigan’s attack overwhelmed Western Michigan, easily penetrating its zone defense.

Five goals in a lacrosse game is usually a good day. But junior Trevor Yealy outdid even that scoring five goals in one quarter.
The No. 1 Michigan men’s club lacrosse team used his five first-quarter goals to jump out to an early lead against No. 6 Minnesota-Duluth.
