Police raid Bongz and Thongz for K2

The Livingston and Washtenaw Narcotics enforcement Team — a task force comprised of local and state police — executed a search warrant this afternoon at the Bongz & Thongz store at 119 East Liberty Street, as part of an investigation into the store’s possession of synthetic drug K2.

At last night’s City Council meeting — which was moved from its usual Monday slot due to last Tuesday’s primary election — campaigning was set aside and several issues were discussed, despite the potential post-election awkwardness such as Tony Derezinski (D–Ward 2) — who lost Tuesday — sitting next to Jane Lumm (I–Ward 2) —who endorsed his opponent.

Six women from Ann Arbor break English Channel swimming record, raise money for ALS

Last Friday, six women in a relay swim team from Ann Arbor set a new world record of 18 hours and 55 minutes for double-crossing the English Channel, finishing four minutes faster than the previous record set in 2007 by another relay team of six women.
No Thai! to open new location in Landmark high-rise

Students and Ann Arbor residents alike can look forward to a newer, larger No Thai! restaurant this fall.
No Thai! was locally founded in 2005 and is co-owned by Jeff Cho, Brian Kim, Victor Kim and Noerung Hang. The restaurant serves various Thai dishes such as drunken noodles and pad thai curry.
