Live Blog: Michigan hockey takes on Air Force in the first round of the NCAA Tournament

Daily sports is at the Bridgeport Arena at Harbor Yard in downtown Brideport, Conn to cover the Wolverines’ opening round of the East Regional. Top-seeded Michigan is squaring off against fourth-seeded Air Force Academy, which boasts the nation’s leading goal-scorer in sophomore center Jacques Lamoureux. The Wolverines have had six days to put the 5-2 CCHA Tournament loss to Notre Dame behind them. On paper, Michigan has the easiest regional draw of the four No. 1 seeds (Yale is the two-seed, Vermont is seeded third).
