The Michigan volleyball team learned Sunday night that it will head to Lexington, Ky., to begin post-season play in the Seattle, Washington Regional. The Wolverines will face the host school, Kentucky (26-5 overall), on Thursday. Michigan is 1-2 all time against the Wildcats.

"It's a fair path but it's not easy," Michigan coach Mark Rosen said. "Our first round is going to be a really tough match against Kentucky. They are a really good team. Each round is similar, but if we can play consistent we have an opportunity to move far."

If Michigan wins its first match, it will face the winner of St. Louis/Alabama A&M on Friday.

While most of the Wolverines reside in the Midwest, Freshman libero Sloane Donhoff has the closest ties to the Lexington area, as Louisville is her hometown.

"I know some of the girls on the team because they played in the clubs that I played for, but it will be exciting to head back home," Donhoff said.
