Bryant, Ringer sidelined for 2012 season with injuries

The Michigan football team announced Thursday that redshirt freshman offensive lineman Chris Bryant and freshman linebacker Kaleb Ringer will both sit out the 2012 season due to injuries.
Bryant, a Chicago native, redshirted last season and is now sidelined with a fractured tibia. He was a four-star recruit but was expected to vie for backup duties at right guard this fall.

After a Christmas Eve 2007 car crash in Clinton, Ohio left Brock Mealer with fractured T-12 and L-1 vertebrae and paralyzed from the belly button down, he was given a one-percent chance of ever walking again. The crash killed his father, Dave Mealer, and his brother's girlfriend, Hollis Richer.
