An image of the Stagg Championship Trophy, given to the victor of the Big Ten, has been plastered on the screen before every team meeting since the start of conference play in early October.

Denard Robinson was bottled up, and everyone knew it. But instead of sliding for a negligible gain, Robinson cut right, then he cut left, leaving Illinois freshman linebacker Mason Monheim flailing at thin air. Robinson shifted into high gear and blew past the Fighting Illini secondary for a 49-yard touchdown, his third score of the afternoon.
