Michigan (4-1 Big Ten, 13-4 overall) hosted Purdue (3-1, 11-2) on Saturday, and after a horrid start in doubles, pulled it together and dominated en route to a 6-1 win. But after finding themselves in a hole early against Indiana on Sunday, the Wolverines couldn’t rebound and suffered a 5-2 defeat.
Bektas surges as women's tennis defeats Notre Dame

Match by match, sophomore Emina Bektas is proving why she's Michigan’s best tennis player. Not once was Bektas broken in singles or doubles against Notre Dame, crushing each opponent she faced. Led by Bektas, Michigan played strong and aggressive tennis to triumph over the Fighting Irish, 5-2.

Trying to use the momentum from Saturday’s 6-1 victory over Wisconsin, the Michigan men’s tennis team looked to beat Minnesota in a similar fashion.
But the fate wasn’t similar, as Michigan lost to Minnesota, 4-3, following sophomore Michael Zhu’s three-set loss.

Saturday, the ninth-ranked Wolverines dismantled Wisconsin, 6-1, and a day later, Michigan (3-0 Big Ten, 11-3 overall) went on to beat Minnesota (2-1, 8-7) by the same score, stretching the Wolverines’ winning streak to six matches.
