UM Engineering Council elects new leadership

With 222 total votes cast out of 5,284 total students in the College of Engineering, midnight on Nov. 29 meant the closing of ballots and release of final the decision on who would fill executive and legislative positions in the University of Michigan Engineering Council.

Though only 6.4 percent of LSA students voted in the college’s student government election, those who participated elected 10 new members and approved three ballot questions.
Student government election to fill 18 vacant assembly positions

As elections come to a close Wednesday at midnight, CSG representatives will welcome newly elected members to their next meeting.
Though presidential and full assembly elections are held every year in March, the November CSG election is meant to fill vacant seats within the assembly and facilitate elections for other student governments on campus.
Engineering Council elections start today

Starting today, Engineering students will have the opportunity to elect 10 executive board members to the University of Michigan Engineering Council to serve them in the coming year.
LSA-SG election to determine 10 seats

LSA students who have frustrations with Course Guide and confusion over Medical Amnesty will have the opportunity to voice them beginning on Tuesday with the start of the LSA-SG election.
There are 10 open positions on the LSA-SG executive board, which will hold elections on Nov. 27 and 28. All LSA students are eligible to vote, and can choose among 16 candidates.
CSG site not often updated

As the semester passes the halfway point, the Central Student Government has not publicly released resolutions, meeting minutes or agendas from the past three months in a manner consistent with its governing documents.
The minutes were last published on Sept. 25, and CSG has neglected to upload information from five meetings since that date.
CSG discusses attendance protocol, campus wireless connectivity

After nearly adjourning due to a lack of quorum, Tuesday’s meeting of Central Student Government passed a resolution to amend the attendance policy of its representatives, created an addition to the Statement of Student Rights and Responsibilities and discussed the wireless experience on campus.
