Increasing transparency at the Daily

The Michigan Daily believes in transparency.
As journalists, we demand transparency from the people and organizations we cover. But we also demand transparency from ourselves. As we try to effectively cover the University and Ann Arbor, our readers also deserve to know what we, as a news organization, stand for.
To that end, Management Desk, the group of the Daily's top editors, voted this week to post our bylaws and ethics guidelines online. From now on, you'll be able to find our bylaws on our About the Daily page. A copy of the document is also linked here.
We'll continue to post an updated version of the document whenever it's amended or updated.
