This woman is the essence of the word elegance. We drooled when we saw her wearing this mid-century detachable fur collar and had to think for a long time before deciding that she just couldn’t be the real life Joan Holloway. (But maybe?) Either way, we love the idea of replacing our tired, old winter scarves with a detachable fur collar like she has. The versatility of it is appealing as well, since you can pair it with a sweater, dress, or coat to achieve a look that would make even Christina Hendricks a little jealous. For your fur fix, we recommend checking out the lovely collection of collars that ASOS has to offer. Or if authenticity is your thing, you might have luck at local Ann Arbor thrift stores like Treasure Mart or The Getup, which both boast piles upon piles of luxurious vintage furs à la Mad Men.
