Introducing the Daily's new comment system

On Sunday, The Michigan Daily moved comments to a new moderating system.
The new system, run by Disqus, will increase discussion about content on multiple platforms as readers will be able to sign in through a social networking site, and comments will appear under the story on www.michigandaily.com — instead of on a separate page. The sign-in requirement will also help reduce the amount of spam posted.
In making the switch, it will take a few days for all of the Daily’s previous comments to reload on every story. The number of comments will also no longer appear under stories on the home page.
