How about the State of Michigan stops giving huge subsidies to University of Michigan students over MSU. Umich graduates today almost always leave this state. Therefore, you are all huge pr1ck5 and a waste of money. MSU graduates do what they can with the economy in this state, where you temporary and international mother !#$%!#% at Umich high tail it out of here after having your education subsidized by middle class Michigan families.

Actually, it was my understanding that under the Michigan Promise Scholarship, anybody who took the exam qualified for $4000. Getting a high score on the MME just determined if you could receive $1000 in the first and second years of schooling as opposed to getting it at the end of a two-year degree or in the 3rd year of a 4-year degree.

They should honestly reinstate SOME kind of merit scholarship program. This one was simply way too broad and covered too many people. If they reinstated the old system described by this article -- where how well you do determines how much money you get -- then that might help some of us out, at least.
