I'm happy the school is standing behind underage kids policing intoxicated underage kids. You guys can illegally drink as long as you have a sober frat boy watching.

I don't know about the rest of you but I got a lot of tail as a sober monitors. Chicks dig a man in uniform who has control over social events. It gets them a lil revved up for the night of drinking that's ahead. The only thing I need to worry about is making sure she consents.

“…many sober monitors are often unclear on their duties….” They’re confused, even after they’d attended (albeit old-style) training? Armed only with this articles’ vague references to “crisis and conflict management” & “recognition of alcohol poisoning and the proper measures to take when it occurs,” I think I’ve got it figured out.

The howling Baccinalian juveniles at frat parties are like Pinnochio – terribly naïve, & prone to getting themselves into jeopardy. A sober monitor is supposed to be Jimney Cricket - “Lord High Keeper of the Knowledge of Right and Wrong, Counselor in Moments of Temptation, and Guide along the Straight and Narrow Path” – in short, a conscience.

What liability do these hapless Dexters, having matriculated through some quick & dirty “crisis and conflict management” training session, assume as sober monitors? Or are they covered under the good samaritan laws?
