The best way to prevent violence like that at Virginia Tech, etc., is to allow people to carry handguns on campus. Presenting a variant on another saying, is say that 'an armed society is a safe society.'
Has anyone addressed the possibilty that the inside lock might be used wrongfully?
Overreaction and fear mongering. Is there increased risk of injury and death on campus from rampaging shooters, or is our media/entertainment machine simply more efficient and effective?
Or, we can just let students defend themselves - for free. If somebody has a gun, a door lock will not stop them.
