Anonymity is a cowardly way to avoid responsibility for character assassination and most often the judgments conveyed reflect most accurately on the one who criticizes.

what does this say, then, that you posted anonymously

that you love irony, perhaps?

good one, UM. great work on giving our highest academic award to the teacher of HISTORY OF COLLEGE #@*%! ATHLETICS.

has anyone else noticed that this guy is a douche?

also, for anyone who's proudest achievement in college is learning something about "life" from a "history of college athletics" course then we may as well disband the university right now

Bacon's a good prof, could be a great one if he could check the ego a little bit.

This award was so well deserved! In my 4 years at the university, History of College Athletics was the best class I took and John was BY FAR the best professor I had. Not only were his lectures interesting and engaging, but the lessons he taught went beyond just sports and he truly cared about his students (how many other professors will take the time to learn ALL of their students' names in a large lecture hall?). Congratulations!

Sounds like someone did not do their work in his class. If you put the effort in, were interested in the material, you not only did well in his class but you learned A LOT. Now if you were one of those people that did not bother to show up, thats your fault. But don't go spouting off things like "the class sucked." Because it didn't. BOTH of his classes were two of my favorite classes I had at the University.

This man's class sucked more than Pam Anderson did at her prom

Well Done John!

I attended John's lecture last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. He presents in an interesting and passionate manner which kept a non-academic like me fully engaged. The content was both perceptive and inspirational. I loved it. There were some surprising omissions from the audience but those that were there, reacted as one in giving John the standing ovation which he so richly deserved.

April fools?
