Rodriguez has nothing to say except he hopes it will be a blip on the radar, but he shows yet again that he doesn't understand the history and tradition of M football, and how much pride we alums and other fans have in it. And that goes back to Elbel writing his fight song on the train from Chicago, goes back to an amazing run in the 1900s, to Bo, to Oosterban, to Benny Friedman, to the mad magicians, to Ron Kramer. It's all about winning and maximizing potential.

That's not to say that Bo or Lloyd won all the games they should have--any follower knows they had clunkers and embarrassing moments. And it will happen to any coach. But to dismiss the worst season in at least 40 years, if not ever? Rodriguez again demonstrates that he doesn't get it, and that we won't accept it. (or at least shouldn't, but unfortunately, only 2 people can fire him). He never gave off the burning fire of a Bo, the embarrassment of a Carr showed after losing, or the loyalty of either of these Michigan men.

So improvement must come, yes, but I wonder if Rodriguez will ever get 'it'? Or will he remain stubborn? Will he abandon ship as Bo chose not to, as Rod chose to do from his own school, his own players, his own state? I think the die has been cast.
