This article gives a very biased, one-sided picture of inter-partner violence. I was around back then and was appalled at the blatant sexism against men on display at the university then, and I am now.

I'll bet very few, if any, people currently on campus know that within weeks of Williams' murder, a female student shot and killed her boyfriend in the neighborhood right across Huron street from Rackham, yet in true feminist fashion we never hear about that kind of violence. I can't remember their names because the media has buried that story in lieu of this sort of propaganda. At the time, the womens studies crowd had vigils for Williams, and then when the man was killed a few weeks later they had vigils and remembrances for - wait for it - the female murderer. To these sexists, only women's lives count; men are disposable, and apparently not even fully human and thus unworthy of concern in their eyes.

Men are by far the majority of victims of violence, yet we insist on remaining ignorant and blind to this, instead focusing on violence against women for shameless political purposes. Indeed, the vast majority of the valid, peer-reviewed studies (vs. feminist propaganda) clearly show that inter-partner violence is approximately equal vis-a-vis men and women as perps and victims. This is what Murray Straus, a leading researcher in inter-partner violence termed "mutual brawling."

The sexism exemplified by this situation is truly disgusting. I really wish The Daily would offer some *real* journalism and dig deeper into facts and history so that the whole picture was presented. But then, that takes a lot more work than regurgitating feminist dogma and talking points.
