SportsMonday Column: Done with football? Head to Yost

I love Yost!

As for memorable games where the crowd stayed in it, I remember a few years ago a game against Bowling Green, where BG was up 3-0 at the end of the first period. Ouch. The crowd actually got louder after each BG goal, louder yet when Michigan finally scored, and completely crazy when Michigan finally tied it up. Definitely one of the loudest games I'd ever been to. (I think Michigan won by a crazy score, 8-3 or something, that didn't fully reflect how tight a game it was for a while.)

Great point. Even if you're not a hockey fan, give Yost a try. Start with some post-Friday class tailgating, then head over to the storied rink for some collegiate sporting action that you, as a fan, can actually feel a part of. You know how you feel when you just can't get your voice to reach the ears of Morgan Trent on Saturday when you want to share your wisdom...that does NOT happen at Yost - all players can hear everything the fans say (and when the opponents look up at you...the feeling is just like slamming that 300 yard drive, it keeps you coming back for more)
