That kid from Toledo, #74 Mike VanDerMulen, is a hoss, a real stud. I can't believe he is only a sophmore. What a career he is going to have. No one can knock him down. He reminds me of a guy who played down south years ago-Crazy Legs Martin. Go Toledo

you guys are seriously idiots. HOW ARE YOU TAKING ONE SEASON and really asking for richrod to get fired? do you guys KNOW the state of the football team right now? do we even have a legit QB? all of you guys are retarded, and seriously need to be banned from being michigan football fans- if its anything its people like you who've lost all heart and hope and encouragement for a football team thats young and inexperienced. i am ashamed to even affiliate michigan football with you idiots.

What a treat! Atleat Coach Carr players were disciplined and played football. It is shame Richie Boy's players do not know fundamentals of football. Who cares for grandiose football schemes?

The only good that can come of this disaster of a football season is maybe we will lose some of the clueless unaffiliated "fans" throughout the country who wear Michigan gear but when you acknowledge them with "Go Blue!" look at you as if you're from another planet.

Well well
New sky boxes, a million dollar coach, and a joke on the field.
After being a Michigan fan for 45 years, I choose to switch to the good side. Go Slippery Rock. Go Toledo. And all the other schools that maintain integrity over income.

Why people were ever on the "Rich Rod" bandwagon, I don't know. It was obvious that he's a complete jerk from day one. How people can still be blaming "player misfit" as the problem and claiming that "we've got ourselves a good coach" leaves me utterly agog. His players trash talk constantly, the coaches openly blame the players while insisting the "scheme" is perfect, they stick rigidly to that scheme (didn't Carr get dumped for doing that?), a scheme that every high school in America has seen a million times, fundamentals are horrible (tackling, holding onto the ball, finishing runs, maintaining blocks, dropped passes, defensive gap responsibility, etc, etc), even staffed with NFL pro-bowlers the passive, undisguised defensive zone that they constantly deploy wouldn't be able to stop an accomplished HS passing attack... this list goes on and on. All of these things reflect coaching. I don't give cow dung about the so-called spread. As demo'ed by last year's bowl game, all Michigan needed was a more aggressive passing attack added to it's pro-style offense. How in heck did we end up back in the stone age with the classic high school spread-option? Nice of the AD's office to give the coaches under Carr (who, finally given a bit of free hand, designed a scheme that smashed Florida) their due. Could've stayed in-house and avoided the Rich Rod Ripoff altogether.

I think the problem is that the coach is not a good fit for this team. He will have to do his own recruiting to build a team that matches his ingenuity. In the meantime he might consider ditching his vision this year and greatly simplifying his strategy to match players who must've had talent to be invited to Michigan. We may be in for a couple of long years, but I still say we got ourselves a good coach.

Wheres Mike Hart at? I wanna ask him how our "little sisters" from Ann Arbor are handling this loss. Lol at the M-Pire going down in flames this year.
