Do you hear something? That's the sound of the world's saddest song playing on the world's smallest violin. So they'll have to find slightly less profitable jobs at slightly less prestigious businesses. Big deal. It's not like your life ends if your starting salary is less than $60,000.

This is indeed news, Univeristy of Michigan is a University correct? And this is a University newspaper, not a NATIONAL one. The 8 students mentioned don't represent everyone effected - I'm an '02 grad and on-campus recruiting and job offers didn't really exist after 9/11 when I was graduating. I hope the class of '09 doesn't experience the same!

Big deal, why is this news? Why don't you report on the billions of dollars of wealth that Americans lost during yesterdays sell off? 8 business students lost their job offers? Correct me if I am wrong, but ITS SEPTEMBER! On campus recruiting hasn't even gotten into full swing, get out there and find a new job!

Diane, aka Simply the Best.
