What is RichRod's religion?

I hate to say this is a great article to make you feel nice and warm about the decision to hire a coach. A person that many would say is a great guy, looks like he lived a good life, but does have hidden skeletons in his closet, wake up! Almost every person that is out there can have teachers and such say averagely good things about you.

I find it amazing that anytime there is an article in the Daily about RR that several WVU fans not only read it, but spout vitriolic and obnoxious comments about his "loyalty." It seems to me that the bitterness is fueled by the fact that WVU fans felt that he was a great coach and are STILL unhappy that he left. LI think this year will be tough, with many inexperienced players and a new scheme, but I think the football team will quickly achieve great success.

RR is a born liar. He is disloyal, egotistical, self centered, and demands only to promote his own good... He laughed in the faces of all west virginians. I wish him nothing but failure,. The fine michigan fans will soon fiqure him out.. the detroit news has. I just hope they keep him long enough to pay off wvu. He is the devils end, he is satin with a mask . he is not a west virginian , nor do we ever want him back in the state... he is a shameful human being.

I really did like Rich as the coach at WVU, he made some very strong changes and brought the program back to life. Talent sure he got that in. Fans well he also drew them in. This though is when Rich got a big head, though he was more then just himself, thought of himself as irreplaceable. Demands instead of requests, Threats instead of discussions, and finally a power hungry agent that blew a lot of smoke up his.... Which when he could not save face did a very cowardly thing and left his team hanging.

Rich leaving a team bound for one of the largest BCS bowls out there was just not right. People question if he threw the Pitt game because it would interfere with these dealings? Who knows. It is long but done at this point. Fans of Michigan, thank for the four millions dollars to keep the true dealings, and under the table deals from coming out as Rich was dying in the court room. The day though that Rich signed the piece of paper is when he lost of his great guy reputation as mentioned above.

So as you read this article, and if gives you a warm feeling that a great program like Michigan has turned it over to the right hands for the future, more power to you. There though should be a cold shiver running down your spine asking what have we done? If it is only wins vs. tradition, have you truly hired the right man for your school? I only have to look at the players at WVU that almost rejoiced because he left because he is a control freak. They now say the WVU players enjoy coming to practice because they are treated with respect and dignity is that what is not important as we develop these fine young men for their futures?

Where did you get the factoid that RR was an assistant at Fairmount State? As far a I can tell, it's mentioned nowhere else -- not his official bio, google doesn't find it (but his former assistant and current WV head coach Bill Stewart was a Fairmount St assistant), nobody has even fabricated it in Wikipedia.

Rich Rod is such a good guy. He's probably the most humble guy in college football. And he will continue to be humble when you give into his request for more money and $5 tickets for high school coaches. The best thing about Rich Rod is that his system produces the best blocking receivers in the country. When Michigan receivers hit the NFL, they will have no problem catching bubble screens.

What doesn't kill us make us stronger right? This will be a tough season, we have a lot of faith in RR to rebuild us, and build us in the right way.

I remember an interview with Bo about a year before he passed away and he distinctly mentioned Tulane, West Virginia and also how mobile QB's are the future. He said this change will filter eventually to the NFL too - something that we haven't seen yet. Bo had a mystical football knowledge though and he may prove to be correct over time. Bo may have only fleetingly met RR, but he definitely admired the spread and the triple option and especially QB's that could run it. Many say RR will leave us too within a few years, mainly the OSU fans, time will tell.
