Two arrested for January armed robbery on Oxford
BY HALEY GLATTHORN
Two male suspects were arrested by the Ann Arbor Police Department on Friday, Feb. 11 for an armed robbery that occurred on Oxford Road at about 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 18, according to a Department of Public Safety crime alert update sent out today.
The original suspect was a 5’9” black male wearing glasses and a puffy coat and hat, which were both tan in color, the alert states.
The male victim of the Jan. 18 incident — which occurred close to Hill Street on the 700 block of Oxford Road — was getting out of a cab, and a man holding a gun subsequently came near him. The armed individual stole the man’s wallet, cell phone and laptop before driving away in a silver sedan.
An inquiry to the AAPD this afternoon has not yet been returned.
