At Tufts, there's no sex in the dorm room

BY JILLIAN BERMAN

Students at Tufts University will have to move their booty calls to somewhere other than their dorm rooms, thanks to a new school policy.

The school's Office of Residential Life and Learning added a provision in their guest policy, which says that students living in university housing can not engage in sex acts while their roommate is present, according to an article in the Tufts Daily.

The policy goes on to say the activity can't disturb a roommate's study habits, privacy or sleep.

Carrie Ales-Rich, the office's assistant director for community and judicial affairs, told the Tufts Daily, that the change came after residential life officials received many complaints from residents about their roommates' sexual activity.

"We want to make perfectly clear that we do not want to hinder someone from engaging in any personal or private activity," she told the Tufts Daily. "But when it becomes uncomfortable for the roommate, we want to have something in place that empowers the residents to have a good conversation with the roommate."

Is the rule respectful? Or just ridiculous? Tell us what you think in the comments section.
