"Fish Tank" conjures up images of Catherine Hardwicke's "Thirteen," as a young teenage girl (newcomer Katie Jarvis) struggles to find her place in her metaphorical fish tank, trapped by adult conventions and teenage temptations. The trailer is big on the anger she feels, and it proves to be a viable showcase for Jarvis's shouting skills. As this year's Cannes Jury Prize Winner, "Fish Tank" is sure to generate some critical buzz, but the trailer doesn't show anything out of the ordinary. Still, coming-of-age stories never get old, and this should be a strong one.
