A University student was robbed just after midnight Wednesday on Washtenaw Avenue near Hill Street, according to a campus crime alert issued by University Police early Wednesday morning.

An unknown man approached the student on the 1400 block of Washtenaw Avenue, police said.
The man pressed a cold object against the student’s back and demanded money. After the victim gave the man money, the suspect fled the scene on foot.
The suspect is described as a "possibly white male," between six feet and six feet four inches tall. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and black warm-up pants.
