Ritt promoted to senior associate athletic director

Athletic Director Bill Martin announced earlier today that effective immediately Associate Athletic Director Bitsy Ritt has been promoted to senior associate athletic director.
In a statement released today, Martin expressed his approval of Ritt’s work over her time at the University.
“I am pleased to recognize Bitsy for her accomplishments given the wide ranging areas of responsibility, Martin said in the statement. “I know she will provide this athletic department with outstanding leadership.”
Ritt served as Michian’s head women’s tennis coach for 25 years before becoming an associate athletic director in 2006. In her current role, Ritt manages 22 Olympic sports programs at the University and serves as the University’s representative to the Big Ten Sports Management Council.
