Report: Former Marshall, OSU coach Mark Snyder interviewed for linebacker coaching position
BY TIM ROHAN
Dave Birkett of Ann Arbor.com is reporting that former Marshall coach Mark Snyder interviewed with Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez on Sunday for the open linebacker coaching job.
Jay Hopson, Michigan's former linebacker coach, left his position to become the defensive coordinator at Memphis last month.
Birkett also writes that Snyder is "expected to meet again with Rodriguez and some of Michigan’s defensive staff at the American Football Coaches Association convention today or Wednesday in Florida."
Snyder has coached at Marshall and was a defensive coordinator at Ohio State for one season under coach Jim Tressel.
