Senior Ashley Bauer once again led the way for the Wolverines yesterday, posting a 1-over 73 in the opening round, good for T-11th place overall. Six Wolverines competed in the two-day tournament. Michigan’s composite score of 308 placed the team 10th among the 15 teams competing in the tournament, which includes all eleven Big Ten teams as well as College of Charleston, Georgetown, Iowa State, and Southern Methodist. Ohio State was in first place after first round play, with a composite score of 5-under 283.
The difficult weather conditions made for a challenging afternoon of play, as was evident in the scores as only five players were playing under-par for through second round.
