'Lost' episode blogs: 'Dr. Linus'
BY JAMIE BLOCK
Spoiler Warning: This blog post spoils even more than the preview for this week's episode did, so if you haven't seen it yet, you probably shouldn't read this.
This episode was a lot like 'The Lighthouse' for me. It was exciting, fun to watch, high-energy and dramatic, but in the end not all that much happened. We found out where Locke is assembling everyone, Richard and Jack have a sense of purpose and restored faith in the island, Ben is humbled and there are now only two camps of people.
But wait, there's Widmore!
Anyway, this was more enjoyable that most set-up episodes are, but once again the alternate timeline wasn't really doing much for the show. Without any mysterious disappearances, it's just a study in destiny that we don't really understand yet. I'm hoping that soon we start to see some real purpose to this timeline.
Other than that, there's just not much to say. Miles had some good lines again, which was nice to see, and seeing Roger Linus is the alternate was kinda funny. Overall, pretty good episode.

Prediction: The smoke monster is a character we have already met who was betrayed and forced into that role, then time traveled or something.

This is the first episode where I was more interested the alternate timeline than the "real" timeline. With the first mention of the island in this reality, I now wonder who else has been to the island. Has Rousseau been there? Is she in L.A.? Has alternate Desmond been to the island? Or Ethan?
And finally it's solidified that Ben is good. Faced with the chance to sacrifice Alex for his own success once more, he suffered for her benefit and in the "real" timeline sided with Ilana and crew.
Jack has also been turned around becoming the "man of faith" Locke was so early on. Before the real answers can come, we need to find Jin and Sawyer and get that Richard episode everyone's been hoping for.
