LIVE: Michigan baseball takes on Purdue
BY BEN ESTES
It's the Big Ten home opener for the Michigan baseball team, as the Wolverines welcome the Purdue Boilermakers to Ray Fisher Stadium for the first of a three-game set.
In tonight's series opener (broadcast live by the Big 10 Network), each team's ace will take the mound. Michigan will be counting on Alan Oaks (3-3, 3.29) to perform well enough to top Purdue's Matt Bischoff (3-1, 2.06). Ryan LaMarre once again is starting in left field and will bat 6th, and catcher Chris Berset is in the lineup once again, putting to rest any doubts as to his injury status.
