Scalping legitimate way of acquiring tickets
More like this
To the Daily:
For young alumni such as myself, who are still on the waiting list for season tickets, the only way to acquire tickets is on the street (Ticket scalping remains a problem, 09/18/03). Allowing the free exchange of tickets on the open market benefits everyone, from financially strapped students to reminiscent alumni. Cracking down on ticket scalping, and requiring validation are barriers to trade which actually increase the price of tickets and reduce benefits for everyone. The University taught me that.
